| For
time consuming, intricate flashing abutment work, Klober’s
Easy-form® has a ‘creped’ facing and flexible butylon
backing which enable it to stretch by up to 60%. Traditional
foil based flashings have a limited service life and even
lead can crack in time, but Easy-form becomes watertight
straight away and, unlike traditional bitumen backings, the
butylon retains its flexibility to accommodate temperature
induced expansion and contraction. It is a fraction of
lead’s weight and available in convenient 5 metre rolls and
four colours to match most commonly used tiles and slates.
Jobs can be completed in around half the time of traditional
lead detailing, with none of the attendant health and safety
risks. Easy-form is completely safe for use with water
harvesting systems and, by virtue of its colour range, is
ideal for use around solar panelling systems. |

Klober MD David Arendell
commented, “Once in place, Easy-form’s UV-resistant facing
will perform in temperature extremes unlikely to be seen in
the U.K. - from -40°C to +100°C. Using simple tools, it can
be installed to blend seamlessly with the roofline, and no
specialist skills are required. Lead poses obvious health
problems and is even banned for roofing use in some European
countries”. |
