calculations are relevant for mechanically fixed polymer-based
single layer roofing and bituminous mechanically fixed systems.
|We have carried out the calculations detailed in the standard for
some of the main roof configurations likely to be encountered in
practice. The calculations are based on the Standard Method.
|We have then
calculated the minimum number of fixings required based on a design
figure of 0.4 kN per fixings. The results of the calculations are shown in a series of tables.
The results are generally conservative, and often a more rigorous
calculation may produce lower fixing numbers.
